Palazzo Nianu: Historical Haven Told a New

Palazzo Nianu is a collaboration of Puglian Architect Alessandro Venneri and Georg Kayser Studio.

The first of a series of exclusive, bohemian holiday homes, set in the Salento region of Puglia.

A new interest in this relatively undiscovered region of Southern Italy is responded to by this set of beautifully curated homes, helping develop tourism in a more sustainable way.

This palazzo is in the little village of Neviano, or Nianu in the local dialect. It consists of 3 bedrooms two bathrooms, a dining room, a library room with fireplace, and a seperate kitchen with outdoor terrace. The roof will be turned into a sky garden with a little plunge pool.

One enteres the house through a high, star vaulted hall, with weathered walls, that we try to preserve.

The restorations carried out take great care to preserve the original character and ambience, whilst preparing up the buildings for a comfortable sojourn.

The design has been completed by a curated selection of vintage and custom made furniture pieces, and objects to create a holistic experience that finds inspiration in the hand made.

The decoration is kept to a minimum to enjoy the architecture to the fullest.

The house has several levels and many windows giving way to unexpected spectacular views.
