An intriguing play with the existing functional style of the typical industrial building from the 70´s, and an eclectic mix of modern vintage design pieces, is at the heart of this project. The owners of the loft are also the founders of one of the first showrooms in Barcelona dedicated to modern furniture classics. No wonder that they decided to turn the extensive space into a playground for their passion.

The couple’s wish was an open, undefined space that gives room for playing with its distribution. First we took out all partitions and stripped off the structure from any plaster to expose the rough concrete. Then, the vast space was divided into three functional zones. The entry zone, which is mainly used as storage space, contains a second bathroom . The central part is versatile space, used to exhibit the owners’ collection of furniture pieces, sculptures and objects.
The main living platform features bathroom and kitchen, dining and living area, and a corner with a bed.
